Minimum Order
We operate a minimum order level of £10 before postage and packing.
Payment Options
We accept payment by credit card / debit card* over the net, or by cheque or postal order or International Money Order (in £ Sterling) through the post.
You also have the option to telephone your payment details through to us. See Contact Details page for our telephone number.
Please note that we will not process your credit card payment / cash your cheque until we despatch your order, in case the stock is not available at the time of your order. We will notify you immediately regarding availability.
*We do not accept American Express or Diners Club.
Security
We use SSL and PGP encryption for maximum security to protect the information that you provide to us. It is more likely that your credit card details will be taken and fraudulently used when handing it over in a restaurant or other high street shopping use!
Shipping and Handling
Our UK mainland (inc. Northern Ireland) postage and packing rates are based on the sum total value of the models you order. Pricing is divided into the following bands:
Standard Delivery (One to ten working days, typically)
Up to £70 total order value = £4.50
Order value over £70 = Free Standard Delivery - normally sent Tracked
Note - some heavier items, such as catalogues may carry a surcharge due to high weight. These items are highlighted as such in the relevant departments
Tracked Delivery (Delivery aim within 48 hours, but may take longer) Royal Mail Tracked service for parcels less than 2kg. EvRi may be used for larger parcels

Next Day Delivery (subject to availability and orders placed before 12 noon - UK mainland only and parcel less than 2kg)

Order value over £70 is charged at cost, with a nominal discount.
Apologies, but paint or other liquids and gels cannot be sent to our international customers. If you place these in your order, we will contact you about deleting them.
International deliveries (inc BFPO and Eire) will be charged at current rates applicable at time of despatch. Unfortunately, we cannot offer free postage for international orders over £70, but we offer a £5 reduction on the cost of postage for these orders. An estimate only is given on the site for surface or air mail postage. We will confirm the exact cost before despatch. If you require tracking numbers this will be quoted for on request. Our normal system is to despatch via standard airmail, rather than a courier which can be quoted for separately.
Models2U are not liable for import duties or excise levied on orders. It is up to the person placing the order to be familiar with such levies in their country.
Certain products may be too large to send by standard air / surface mail. In which case, the courier cost will be obtained and communicated to you for agreement or cancellation of the order as per your wishes.
Pre-order Postage Cost
The value of Pre-order items will not be included in the total order value. Postage will be charged according to the above costs at time of despatch. We will charge item value and postage cost for pre-order items as and when they are despatched. If the value of pre-ordered items would take the order value into the free delivery bracket [£70] we can delay sending out the order until all of the items on the order are available. We will contact you if the order value would qualify in this case.
Delivery Schedule / Back Orders
Your order will be despatched on receipt of payment, providing the item is in stock.
If it is not in stock, we will immediately advise you of the estimated timescale. You then have the opportunity to cancel the order if you do not wish to wait. Where possible, we will expect to be able to send out special order items within 14 days of order, although we reserve the right to allow up to 28 days.
We have a large stock list and some products may have been sold before your order is placed. Replacement stock may no longer be available from manufacturers, particularly for items stated as 'De-listed'. If we cannot fulfil your order for this reason, we will not take payment, return / refund your payment immediately.
If you have selected next day delivery, and the order or some of the items within it are not available we will send the available items on Next Working Day Delivery and the remaining items will be sent by Standard Delivery unless requested otherwise at extra cost.
If paying through the post, your order will be reserved for a period of seven days while awaiting your payment.
Paint, Glue and Knives
Paint numbers, where available, are provided for guidance only and are the manufacturers suggestion.
Paint and glue are not supplied with the models unless otherwise specified.
Glue and knives can only be sold to customers aged over 18 years old. By agreeing to these terms and conditions, you confirm that you are aged over 18 years.

Contract / Sale
Any contract / sale entered into by Models2U will be governed by English law.
Customer satisfaction
We are sure that you will be happy with your purchases from Models2U. Customer satisfaction is our main objective.
Models2U have been operating as a family concern since 2001 and have thousands of satisfied customers, but we appreciate that there may be times when you wish to return items to us.
If you order the wrong model by mistake, please return it to us unopened and undamaged within 28 days of receipt in the original packaging, suitably protected and we will either refund the purchase price of the item, or send the correct item, (any cost difference will be refunded or charged, as appropriate). You must return the goods to us at your own expense.
This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
Please advise us as soon as possible if you have any complaint about our service. Any complaints notified to us will be dealt with immediately and will endeavour to reach a resolution within five working days. We will keep you informed regarding the progress of your complaint.
If, in the unlikely event, your goods arrive in a damaged condition or are defective, you must inform us as soon as is practically possible and in any event no later than seven days after discovery. Failure to do so will deem that you have accepted the goods.
The Goods must be unmodified, bags still sealed and all contents present and have been properly used under normal conditions and have been properly stored, installed and maintained.
The Goods or parts thereof should be returned to us in its original packaging, together with supporting documentation giving the invoice number and the nature of the defect or shortage.
You must hold on to damaged items and packaging in case Royal Mail or relevant other carrier ask to see them.
If for any reason a replacement is not available for a damaged or defective item then we will refund the value of the returned goods by the original payment method.
Under the United Kingdom Distance Selling Regulations you have the legal right to cancel your order within seven working days of receipt of the goods.
Your right to cancel only applies if the Goods are unmodified, have been properly used under normal conditions and have been properly stored and maintained. The item(s) must be returned in good condition to Models2U within fourteen days.

We reserve the right to cancel the order if fault has been identified we do not or cannot deliver to your area/Country. If we do cancel your contract we will notify you by e-mail and will re-credit to your account any sum deducted by us from your credit card as soon as possible but in any event within 30 days of your order.
We reserve the right to withdraw any Goods from this Website at anytime and/or remove or edit any materials or content on this website.
We may refuse to process a transaction for any reason or refuse service to anyone at any time at our sole discretion. We will not be liable to you or any third party by reason of our withdrawing any Goods from this Website whether or not those Goods have been sold; removing or editing any materials or content on the Website; refusing to process a transaction or unwinding or suspending any transaction after processing has begun.
We want you to be totally satisfied with your purchase. If for any reason you are not entirely happy with your order we will refund the value of the goods supplied provided that you first notify us of your intention to cancel using the procedure outlined here and providing that the goods, together with the original invoice, are returned to us in perfect condition and in the original packaging to the address specified on the invoice within seven working days after the day of delivery. A certificate of posting should be obtained as we cannot be held responsible for the non-delivery of goods to our address without it.
